KLH Engineers Launches Levcon Analytics
Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, Inc. (KLH Engineers), a national mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm, is pleased to announce the establishment of Levcon Analytics, a company solely focused on Data as a Discipline™ in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.
“There is no doubt the industry is shifting and using more data on our projects than ever before. The practice of identifying the right data and leveraging it properly warrants its own discipline and a firm that specializes in the field,” states James Tavernelli, president and chief operating officer of KLH Engineers.
Levcon Analytics defines Data as a Discipline™ as “the practice of identifying, leveraging and auditing data to drive planning, design, construction and operations.” The use of building information modeling (BIM) has increased in application. Industry trade associations, consortiums, professionals and owners alike are beginning to see the value data-driven workflows can contribute to reduce waste and lower the cost to build and operate the modern building. Owners are developing their own unique set of BIM standards that are frequently missed due to the silos each professional trade operates.
“There are a lot of stakeholders involved in construction and operations. Each require certain information to do their jobs efficiently. Yet old practices have designers, construction trades and owners in separate silos, impairing the ability to adequately share and leverage data,” says Alex Jonovski, managing principal of Levcon Analytics. “We will take the lead on breaking down silos by identifying what data is most critical to success, who is responsible, and provide owners with accurate information about their building for operations. We want to create a ‘central point of truth’ for every project.”
Levcon Analytics unique staffing model includes licensed engineers, technicians and software engineers who have a working knowledge of the AEC industry. Jonovski emphasized, “We aren’t just programming. We are practitioners of the industry.”
Jonovski will be conducting a free webinar with Max Nevermann, project manager, to introduce Data as a Discipline™ and its innovative web application, Convergit™, on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. EDT. The firm is also offering complimentary Revit model assessments.
Levcon Analytics is in the Greater Cincinnati area and consults owners, architects, construction management firms and skilled trades throughout the United States. Visit levconanalytics.com for more information.
