KLH Engineers Names Two New Principals
Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, Inc. (KLH Engineers), a nationally recognized engineering firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new principals, Bob Long, LEED AP, Louisville regional director, and Patrick Fernbach, PE, WELL AP, director or mechanical engineering. The appointments support the firm’s strategic growth initiatives as it continues to build on its strong momentum and innovative service offerings.
Long joined the firm in 2015 with decades of experience and well-established relationships in the Central Kentucky region. As the Louisville regional director, Long has steadily increased KLH’s market share by consistently demonstrating a deep care and understanding to his clients’ needs and best interests. He has managed consultants in the design of facilities across the country and supervised contractors throughout the construction phase. He also has extensive experience with project management and electrical systems design.
Fernbach joined the firm as a co-op student in 2013 and transitioned to a full-time employee in 2017. As director of mechanical engineering, Fernbach oversees the mechanical department’s use of innovative design solutions and workflows, manages staffing models, guides professional development plans for team members, and helps facilitate ideation of new technologies that enhance mechanical design. Fernbach also leads KLH’s teaming partnership with mechanical contractors on design-build, design for manufacturing and install, and supply chain integration.
