Welcome to KLH! What inspired you to join our team as a business development manager and what excites you most about your new position?

Transitioning from marketing into business development has been a career goal of mine and I have always respected and enjoyed collaborating with KLH. I am excited to be a part of this amazing culture working alongside such smart and talented people! What excites me the most is being able to have a direct impact on winning new work for the firm and helping grow our healthcare and education market practices.

Can you share how you got into the AEC industry and how your background and previous experiences led you to this role?

I began working in the AEC industry almost 10 years ago in marketing and communications. Throughout this time, I participated in various aspects of the department including pursuit strategy, proposal writing, award submissions, social media management, public relations and graphic design.

What skills do you bring to the table that you believe will contribute to our team’s success?

Coming from the architecture side, I understand the thought process behind forming teams for pursuits. I look forward to leveraging this knowledge, as well as my competitive spirit to stay in front of clients to position KLH for new opportunities.

What motivates you? How do you maintain motivation and continue to develop professionally?

As mentioned above, I am a competitive person so chasing after new work excites me. I enjoy work that is challenging and like collaborating with others to create winning strategies.

Looking ahead as you settle into your new role, what are your goals over the next six months?

My goal is to absorb all things KLH, attend events in the community, and begin forming relationships with prospective clients.

What do you do for fun outside of work?

Most evenings you will find me teaching dance at a local studio in Gahanna, Ohio. I also travel and choreograph for numerous high school and collegiate dance teams throughout the Midwest, Northeast, and Southern United States. When I am not dancing, I try to spend as much time as I can with my friends and family.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

To clone myself so I can be in two places at once!
