Field Services
KLH’s field services are some of the most critical tasks performed on any design project. While we perform many of the standard contractual services such as site surveys and construction administration, some field surveys carry an added level of value to building owners.
3D Scanning
Conducting site surveys is an important part of any renovation project. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of the information obtained in the field, we utilize a Leica BLK360 laser scanner to capture as-built information. The equipment provides up to 30,000 points per scan and stores accurate datasets that are used during design by all teaming partners. We integrate the point cloud directly into Revit and leverage the information with other custom innovations created by our team, including real-time clash detection and isometric viewing, in order to produce coordinated models and plans.
Commissioning
Commissioning a building is more than energy optimization, it’s providing building owners piece-of-mind that the systems function as intended and that sufficient information is passed on to operations and maintenance teams. Our Commissioning Team includes Certified Commissioning Agents, Engineers and controls experts who understand building design and operations. From HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, to building envelope, security and LEED requirements, our commissioning services can help deliver a building asset and its information to the owner with confidence that the building is functioning as intended.
